British Cycling is offering a free family bike ride on Sunday 12 September as part of the Sky Ride Local initiative.

The ride will leave from Westgate-on-Sea railway station at 10.00am and will follow the Viking Coastal Trail to Reculver.  There will be a 30 minute break for refreshments, before returning to Westgate for about 1.00pm.

Sky Ride Local rides are small group cycle rides designed to get everyone cycling regularly in a fun and informal way. These are free rides, led by British Cycling trained ride leaders, who will guide participants along the route, and provide tips and advice on cycle safety and skills.  Further information is available at http://www.goskyride.com/about/local-rides.aspx (although this particular ride is not listed on the website).
