Emotional evening for Thanet Baby Bolts
It was an emotional evening for all when the Thanet Baby Bolts held their final training session at King Ethelbert School on Tuesday 30th March. Team manager Phil Pittock struggled to find his words as he spoke to the young athletes before presenting some awards.
“I was sad because it was the end of something that has been very good” said Phil, “but at the same time I am excited because where we are going will be even better”. The Thanet Baby Bolts will become Thanet Athletics Club, a new track and field club with coaching and competition for all events and all ages, at The Marlowe Academy from Tuesday 20th April.
The following awards were presented:
- Attendance Award – 100% attendance in 2009/10 – George Pittock
- Most Improved Athletes of the Year - Jack Shale and Tabitha Raymonde (Jack was unwell and unable to attend, so Dad Terry is pictured in the back row)
- Athletes of the Year – Amy Clayton and Tiegan Hewitt
