James Mileham threw a massive 32.28m to win the U13/U15 javelin competition at the Invicta East Kent AC open meeting on Tuesday 17 August.  James’ throw earned him the highest Grade 1 national standard and he is currently ranked 27^th in the UK for U13 javelin.

Tamara Anderson won the U13 long jump at the same eventwith 4.27m and also ran an excellent 14.1 secs for the 100m, as did Georgina Anderson (13.5 secs) and Chantelle Bailey (14.5 secs).

Jack Seery, currently unattached but training with Thanet Athletics Club, won his 75m heat in 12.6 secs ahead of Oliver Davies, and also won his 600m heat later in the evening in 2 mins 14.1 secs, with Ben Davis third in 2 mins 18.0 secs.

Jake Davies ran 57.5m for the 400m and Tom Winch ran 3 mins 41.5 secs for the 1000m.
