We are delighted to report that Jack Green, friend and supporter of Thanet Athletics Club, qualified for the World Junior Athletics Championships in Moncton, Canada from 19 to 25 July by winning the 400m Hurdles at the England Under-20 Championships and World Trials in Bedford on Sunday 20 June.

“I made it through to the semi finals of the European Juniors last year but I had to pull out with an injury, so I really want to make up for it this year, I’ve got unfinished business.  I’m more than confident I can break the UK junior record” said Jack afterwards.

Jack was in Thanet again on Thursday 24 June when he supported the Thanet Secondary Schools Athletics Championships (see separate report).
