Thanet Athletics Club

Club coach Janet Clayton was awarded by the Thanet School Sport Partnership this week for her services to school sport.

Janet was nominated by Garlinge Primary School, where she has run an after school athletics club for three years, and was invited to the awards ceremony at the Margate Winter Gardens.  Janet received her award from Craig Heap, former Olympian and Commonwealth Games Gold medal winning gymnast.

“I am flattered and delighted” said Janet.  “I do it for the children and because I enjoy it, and I thank Garlinge Primary School for nominating me”.
