Five of our athletes travelled to Woodford Green on Father’s Day to compete in the 3rd leg of the Youth Development League and achieved several PBs amongst them.
Erin Moses in the U15 Girls had an excellent day once again surpassing herself by achieving PBs in the 75m Hurdles with 11.6s and the 100m sprint with a new time of 12.9s. Jessica Wood achieved PBs in all three of her events – Javelin (21.2m), High Jump (1.30m) and Long Jump (3.71m). The girls also formed part of the relay team which finished in 4th place.
In the U15 Boys team Aston Fredericks ran a new PB of 12.8s in the 100m and George Seery gained a PB in the 80m Hurdles which he ran in 12.9s. Jack Seery matched his PB in the 200m with another 26.8s time.
At the end of the match the combined Ashford and Thanet team was in 5th place with 419 points. The final league event will be on Saturday 16th July in Chelmsford.
